Robert L. Burton

Visitation for Robert L. Burton, 91, of Arlington Heights, will be on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 5:00 PM until the time of Funeral Service, 7:00 PM at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  An Interment will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, 11:00 AM at Fort Sheridan Cemetery, Highwood.

Robert was born on February 24, 1927 to Howard and Esther Burton.   He passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018.

After serving in the US Army from 1946-1966, Robert worked for Dobby’s World Wide Liquors in Palatine where he became the store’s manager.  He was a longtime member of Palatine Kiwanis Club, where he served as Treasurer and as Chairman of the Annual Peanut Drive.

Robert was the loving husband of the late Elisabeth Burton, whom he married on August 8, 1953. He is survived by his two children, Betty (James) Alderson and Robert L. (Louise) Burton, Jr.; and his siblings, Thomas Burton and Raymond Burton.
