Robert Norman Sieb

A Memorial Visitation for Robert Norman Sieb, 75, of Barrington since 1981, will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 3:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service, 7:00 PM at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Avenue, Barrington, IL.

Robert was born February 4, 1941 in Chicago and he passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016.

He was raised in Norridge and graduated Luther North High School and attended Valparaiso University.  He later joined the Army and was stationed in Germany.  In 1966, he married Deborah Zech and they had four wonderful sons.  

He was the CEO of Henry Newgard & Company and later started a family business.  Robert was an expert at electrical construction and design, and a proud member of IBEW Local 134.  

Robert was an active member of Willow Creek Community Church.  He enjoyed all sports and traveling and was an avid golfer and participated in snow skiing and snowmobiling.

Robert never hesitated to help those in need, but most of all, his family meant everything to him.

Beloved husband of Deborah Sieb (nee Zech); loving father of Robert (Michelle) Sieb, David (Beth) Sieb, Richard Sieb and Kenneth Sieb; loving grandfather of Rachel, Nathan, Adam and Danielle; dear son of the late and  former long-standing mayor of Norridge, Joseph and his wife Estelle Sieb; fond brother of the late Gene Sieb.
