Robert R. Auer

A Memorial Visitation for Robert R. Auer, 84, of Crystal Lake, will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine. The Interment will be held privately.

Brother Bob grew up in Chicago IL, attended Steinmetz high school, and he served with the US Army as a company clerk in Korea. Bob returned from Korea and spent many years as a pharmacy technician in Skokie and Evanston. After moving to Crystal Lake, he drove a school bus for Barrington Transportation.

Robert is survived by his brother, Lawrence (Karen) Auer; sisters, Betty (Bob) Roombos and Marilynn Stone; nephews Matt and Chris; niece, Gretchen; great nephews, Tyler, Joey, Alex and Josh; and great niece, Emma.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Leona Auer and his brother-in-law, Sherwin Stone.
