Romulo P. Tamondong

Visitation for Romulo P. “Romy” Tamondong, 78, a resident of Buffalo Grove since 1976, will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Services will begin with prayers at 9:00AM on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the funeral home proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson, Drive, Palatine for a Funeral Mass at 9:30AM.  An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.

Romulo was born on March 11, 1937 in the Philippines the son of the late Juan and Angela (nee Perez) Tamondong and passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, early in the morning on Wednesday, August 26, 2015.

Romulo was a longtime employee of the Chicago Transit Authority.

Beloved husband of nearly 53 years of Tomasa “Macy” (nee Claveria) Tamondong; loving father of Roma (Elmo) Suller, Romulo “Rom” (Deborah) Tamondong, Raulito “Ron” (Christina) Tamondong, Rufina “Joyce” (Frank) Ciotti, Ruth “Sue” (Gregory) Reif, Rowena “Carla” McClanahan; dear grandfather of Ryan, Amanda,  Jessica, Kyle, Cole, Justin, Henry, Ethan,  Patrick, Julia and Madison; dear brother of Josefina (Pedro) Mamaril, Jose (Lily) Tamondong and Leonardo Tamondong; also survived by many nieces and nephews; preceded by a brother Macario Tamondong.
