Ronald M. Kovalenko

A Memorial Visitation for Ronald Michael Kovalenko, 73, a resident of Lake Zurich since 1979, will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016 from 1:00PM until the time of the Memorial Mass, 2:00PM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  The Interment will be private.

Ron was born on July 30, 1942 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Daniel and Julia (nee Kowalski) Kovalenko and passed away early on Saturday morning, May 14, 2016.

Some of the hobbies that Ron enjoyed were classic cars, especially Corvettes, gun collecting and shooting, boating and water skiing and he enjoyed watching movies and would always be the given winner of any movie trivia.

Beloved wife of Diane (nee Fijal) Kovalenko; devoted father of Michael Anthony (Beth) Kovalenko and Dion Robert (Dawn) Kovalenko, Michael D. (Deanna Serio) Schauer and Annmarie Schauer; cherished grandfather of  Amanda, Christopher, Alex, Michael Steven and Sammy Kovalenko, Amanda Makowski, Ashley (Robert) Vallejo, Brittany  Schauer and Shane Duncan; great grandfather of Mark Makowski and Jordan Vallejo; fond brother of Donna (Rolph) Cotta and Daniel (Pat) Kovalenko; dear uncle of Steven and Maryann Kovalenko; treasured cousin of Janet (Jim) Lessner, Lorraine (Joseph) Klima and Linda (Bob) Perazzo; also survived by his former wife Rose Kovalenko, her family and many other loving family and friends; preceded in death by a brother Jerry Kovalenko.
