Visitation for Ronald Earl Moore, 86, of Cary, will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. An Interment, with military honors, will follow at Windridge Memorial Park Cemetery, Cary.

Ron was born February 13, 1938, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and passed away January 3, 2025, in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Ronald was the loving father of Scott (Lisa) Moore and Sally (Michael) Graham; loving grandfather of Kate and Abbie Moore and Liam, Colin, Quinn and Grace Graham; dear son of the late Earl and Helen (nee Katzner) Moore; fond brother of the late Gloria Moore.

Ron grew up in Waukesha, WI. A graduate of Waukesha High School, he proudly enlisted in the US Naval Reserve followed by active duty on the aircraft carrier USS Randolf (CVA-15). He studied at UW Whitewater. Ron’s robust business career began in training and sales promotion at Wickes Lumber in Saginaw, MI. His primary focus became exhibit sales. Having worked for several of the largest exhibit companies in the Chicago area and became the founding president of ExSel Exhibit Selection Centers.

Ron enjoyed golf, running (he ran the Chicago Marathon at age 60), road trips, music, photography, and anything that got his creativity flowing (especially if it involved Velcro). Many remember him as “the voice of God” as part of the Willow Creek drama team years ago. Importantly, he could never pass up the chance to make a good pun.

He had strong friendships and, above all, he was incredibly supportive of his family and did whatever he could to enrich the lives of his sister, children, and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County.
