Memorial Services for Ronald W. Pavlock, 77, of Lake Zurich, will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018, 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. A private family Inurnment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope, MN.
Ronald was born January 14, 1941, in Minneapolis, MN, and passed away February 23, 2018 in Lake Zurich, IL.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rena F. Pavlock (nee Adams), loving father of Scott (Kim) Pavlock and Susan (William) Blechschmidt; grandfather of Willie (Christine) Blechschmidt, Andy (Katie) Blechschmidt, Danny Blechschmidt, Sarah Blechschmidt and Jessica (Shaun) Pavlock; dear son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (nee Boss) Pavlock; fond brother of Thomas (Julie) Pavlock and the late Richard Pavlock; uncle and godfather to many.
Ron began his career in law enforcement as a patrolman in
Golden Valley, Minnesota. After moving through the ranks in Minnesota he accepted the job as Chief of Police in Woodridge and relocated to Illinois. He later served as Chief of Police in Mount Prospect. Among his many honors, he was elected President of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police in 1994. He was a teacher, mentor, and friend to many. He retired in 2001 to spend time with his family. He never wavered in his belief that the world was good. He lived a life of faith and truly loved everyone.
