Roy J. Hoppe

Visitation for Roy John Hoppe, 51, of Arlington Heights for 22 years, will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, IL 60067.

The Visitation will continue Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004; from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., with interment following at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Roy was born April 6, 1963 in Chicago, and he passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at home.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a devout Catholic.  He was a huge Chicago Blackhawks and Jack Benny fan.  Most of all, he was a devoted dad and loving husband.

Survivors include his wife, Diana L. Hoppe (nee Martin); son, Ryan Hoppe; sisters, JoAnn (Phil) Catanese, Nancy Kleiber and Kimberly (Steve) Brenner; nephews, Alexander and Nathan Kleiber.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Romuald and Lillian (nee Markunas) Hoppe.
