Ruth M. Grever

Visitation for Ruth M. Grever (nee Chvojka) , 81, will take place on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, 10:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich, followed immediately by burial at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, IL.

Ruth passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Lexington Health Care Facility, Lake Zurich.  Born July 1, 1936 in Berwyn, IL, she moved to Lake Zurich from Elmhurst, IL in 1952 with her family and graduated in 1954 from Ela Vernon High School.  A lifelong member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Ruth was an active member of the parish, serving over the years on a number of church boards and committees as well as a CCD teacher, Eucharistic minister, sponsor for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), and later as a member of Keenagers.

Ruth is survived by daughters Susan (Paul) Messina of Waxhaw, NC, Nanci (Harry) DePrins of Glendale, AZ, Jill (Randy) Sackett in Winteset, IA and Victoria (James Wright) Grever of Plumas Lake, CA; granddaughter Adrienne Messina; sister Carole (James) Wentz of Chatfield, MN and brother Richard (Adriel) Chvojka of Cary, IL and many nieces and nephews..  She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mae Chvojka.
