Sabra L. Patterson

Graveside Services for Sabra Louisa (Black) Patterson, Age 88, of Palatine since 1978, formerly of Arlington Heights, IL, will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 beginning at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington, IL.

Sabra is a beloved mother, wife, grandmother and avid stock investor. Born July 15, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Kathern and Gaylord Black and died Thursday, July 7, 2022 in Arlington Heights, IL.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kay (Matthew J.) Ligda; grandsons, Michael Emery Ligda and Cooper Harrison Ligda.

Sabra was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Howe Patterson whom she married on May 12, 1962, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Mrs. Patterson was a graduate of Indiana University in 1955, where she was a proud Alpha Chi Omega. She was also a graduate of New York University. Sabra was employed at Marshall Fields and NEC Computers.
