Sally Pierson Kramer

Memorial Visitation for Sally (Claire Louise) Pierson Kramer, 83, of Palatine for more than 50 years, will be from 12:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service, 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will be at a later date at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Sally was born on June 7, 1934 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Louise Shaw Pierson.  She passed away at her home on Saturday, April 7, 2018.

Sally is survived by her son-in-law, Paul Strozewski; grand-daughter, Katie Louise Bennett; grandson, Robert Springer; great grand-daughters, Ashley Springer & Lillian Louise Bennett; nephews, Michael Hootman & William (Nadine) Artz; sisters-in-law, Priscilla Kramer Artz, Betty Kramer Hootman & Maria Guzman Kramer; brother-in-law, Wayne (Jackie) Kramer, and many beloved nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kramer and daughter, Deborah Louise Strozewski.

Sally was a teacher for Palatine School District 15 for 37 years and after retirement began a new career working for United Airlines as a customer relations specialist.  After her second retirement, she spent many enjoyable hours working on genealogy for her family and other related families. Because books, reading and the encouragement of reading was always an important part of her life, she was a board member of the Friends of the Palatine Library.  She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Magna Charta Dame.
