Salvatore I. Giampa

Visitation for Salvatore I. Giampa, 82, of Palatine since 1980, will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  Funeral Mass will held Tuesday, April 29, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 1080 W. Roosevelt Road, Chicago; where he will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass.  Father Jerry Boland will officiate.  The Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Salvatore was born May 24, 1931 in Chicago, and he passed away unexpectedly, Friday, April 25, 2014 at home in Palatine.

Salvatore was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (nee Kangas); loving father of Larry (Vicki), Cyndy (Katie Conway) Ciolino, Kirby (Jeanne), Kelly, Sue (Mac) Rietz, Kathleen Grace (Tim Felmon), and the late Michael and Tony; loving grandfather of 14; and loving great-grandfather of 2; dear son of the late Antonio and Mary Grace (nee Palaia) Giampa; fond brother of Mary (late Joe) LaRocco and Grace (Rudy) Alfano and the late Louie, Fran, John, Charlie, Lucille, and infant John.
