Sharon A. Grever

Visitation for Sharon A. Grever, 78, a longtime Lake Zurich resident, will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich and from 10:00am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00am at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. Old McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods.  The Reverend Timothy Kinne will be officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Sharon was born on August 24, 1935 in Shawano, WI the daughter of the late Gustave and Gladys (nee: Jommen) Blom and passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014.

Prior to Sharon’s retirement in 1999 she had worked for many years as a claims adjuster for Kemper Insurance.  Sharon was also a longtime active member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Beloved wife of the late James W. Grever; loving mother of Douglas J. (Lynn), Leslie A. and Traci L. Grever; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Courtney and Andrew Grever; dear sister of Lola (late John) Wisniewski, Gloria (late Robert) Krohlow, Carol (Richard) Statzer,  Dennis (Lois) Blom,  Judith (late Eugene) Buelow,  Gustave (Sandra), Bruce (Patricia), Rodney (Sharon),  Keith (Roxanne) Blom and Linda (Walter) Kuczynski; also survived by many nieces, nephews  and other loving family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials in Sharon’s name, would be appreciated for St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 24500 N. Old McHenry Road, Hawthorn Woods, IL 60047.
