Sister Marguerite Kemp, Isp

Visitation for Sister Marguerite Kemp, a Little Sister of the Poor, will be Friday, June 30, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Home with a Rosary Vigil at 5:00 pm.  Funeral Mass will be said at 11:00 am Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the chapel of St. Joseph’s Home.  An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Sister Marguerite, died after a long illness on June 28, 2017, at the age of 85.  She was born in St. Louis, MO, where she entered the Congregation in 1949.

After professing her Vows in 1951 and for the next 65 years she devoted herself to a life of service for the needy elderly.  Gifted with insight and intellect, she served in leadership in the Congregation for many years.  The Sisters remember her warmth, wisdom and great faith.

Survived by her sister, Helen Fey (Ken), and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother Harry Kemp.

In lieu of flowers, donations honoring the elderly poor served by Sr Marguerite may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph’s Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067
