Stanley B. Skladzien

Visitation for Stanley Bernard Skladzien, 93, of Kildeer, will be held Monday December 15, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass, 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich.  Father David Ryan will officiate.  An Interment will follow at Lake Zurich Cemetery.

Stanley was born October 22, 1921 in Chicago and he passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 in Lake Zurich.

He was a WWII Veteran having served with the U.S. Marine Corps., and he received the Purple Heart Award.  He was a chemist at Argonne National Laboratory.

Survivors include his sons, James (Deborah Ciganovich) Skladzien and Dr. Gregory (Bernadette) Skladzien; grandchildren, Dr. Amy (Dr. Jason) Rudigier, Dr. Stephanie (Zachary Redding) Skladzien, Jeffrey Skladzien and Timothy Skladzien; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth  (Jordon) Nuttall, John (Jessica) Ciganovich and  Sallie (Jay) Hotch; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Rachael and Joshua Rudigier and Abigail Redding; step-great-grandchildren, John Charles and Madalyn Ciganovich.

Stanley was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy M. Skladzien (nee Jecmen) and his parents Stanley M. and Agnes R. (nee Ebeling) Skladzien.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
