Stanley “Larry” Gaconis

Visitation for Stanley “Larry” Gaconis, 63, a 22 year resident of Palatine formerly of Park Ridge, will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Services will begin with prayers on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 9:30AM at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton Street, Palatine, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00am.  The Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

Stan was born on October 5, 1950 in Chicago, IL the son of the late Stanley and Sophie Gaconis and passed away early on Monday, March 31, 2014.

Stan was a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology where he received his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.  Stan went on to work for Commonwealth Edison where he worked for 35 years until the time of his retirement in 2008. He was a member of IEEE.

Stan was the beloved husband for 33 years of Annamarie (nee Marek) Gaconis; loving father of Michael (Fiancée Katelynn Ortale) Gaconis and Kimberly (Javar) Gaconis-Johnson; cherished grandfather of Javon Johnson and future granddaughter Jayla Johnson; also survived by his sister in law Mary Ellen, brother in law Richard, cousins JoClaire, Bob and Micki, also beloved uncle and great uncle to many.
