Susan J. Sieben

A private graveside service for Susan J. Sieben (nee Canaday), 82, of Arlington Heights, formerly of Palatine, Illinois will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery, 9900 Gross Point Road, Skokie.

Susan was born on Palm Sunday, April 6, 1941, in Evanston, and passed away unexpectedly November 25, 2023 in Arlington Heights.

Susan (Suzy) was the dear daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (nee Case) Canaday, loving niece of the late Wilburt and Winifred Seidel; sister of the late Stephen Canaday survived by (wife) Mary Elizabeth Canaday; ex-wife of the late Michael Sieben. Susan is survived by her devoted sister Sara (nee Canaday) Barber; loving cousins Mark and Renata Seidel; loving aunt of Scott and Michele Barber; Susan (nee Barber) and David Zelgart; Ashley Canaday; Cathy (nee Canaday) and Adam Frost; loving great nephews Tyler Zelgart, Ryan Zelgart, Christopher Barber, Daniel Barber, Ethan Frost and Alex Frost.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice are greatly appreciated.

Suzy’s passions revolved around family-friends-travel and her extraordinary love for animals, mainly cats. She took pride in her job at Pan Am Airlines then transitioned into a career as a corporate travel agent until retirement. She enjoyed the benefits of traveling, of which, Tahiti became her number one destination. Suzy also had a strong love for football. She took pleasure in putting on one of her favorite sweatshirts and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to her consistent and caring team at Lutheran Home. Specifically, those who brought her considerable laughs and joy on a daily basis. We will be FOREVER grateful!
