Theodore C. Binzel

Visitation for Theodore “Ted” C. Binzel, 76, will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Rd, Lake Zurich, from 1:00PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00PM.  The Interment will be private.

He was born October 12, 1938 in Chicago, IL to Otto and Hedwig Binzel and passed away March 20, 2015.

Ted is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Priscilla “Toots” (nee Obenauf) Binzel;  Loving children, Elizabeth “Beth” and Jason Binzel; Dear brother of Dolores (the late Donald) Pollitz, Elaine (Donald) Weber; Proud Grandfather “Poppy” of Stormy Lea Spaeth and Alex Binzel, and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Alex

He graduated from Ela Vernon High School in 1956.  After proudly serving his country from 1962-1964 in the Army, he started and was president of Binzel Industries, specializing in architectural metals.  Many of his products can be found throughout the city and suburbs of Chicago.  Ted enjoyed and was passionate about tennis, golf and sailing.  He attended Willow Creek Community Church for many years.
