Thomas E. Pielin

Visitation for Thomas E. Pielin, 81, of Palatine, will be from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, also at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine, for a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. The Interment will be private.

Thomas was born on July 12, 1937 in Chicago, IL to Florian and Lee Pielin. He passed away at home on Friday, November 16, 2018.

In his spare time, Thomas loved coaching baseball. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Eagle River, WI and Florida.

Thomas was the husband of the late Patricia G. Pielin. He is survived by his sons, Thomas J., Daniel (Amy), and James (Jenene); grandchildren, Courtney, Zachary, Mackenzie, Shauna, Michael and Thomas; and his siblings, Richard (Barbara) Pielin, Donald (Linda) Pielin and Nancy (the late Donald) Zastrow.
