Tomasz S. Nawakowski

Visitation for Tomasz “Tom” S. Nawakowski, 65, of Palatine, will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at St. Edna’s Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights, where he was a devoted member. The Interment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL.

Tom passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. He was born on October 4, 1957, in New Haven, CT, and attended the public schools of Stamford, CT. Tom studied and completed his BA in Political Science at Western Michigan University. After college he pursued a storied career in car sales, and eventually retired in 2019 to focus on family. Tom most of all, cherished spending time with his family and friends, cooking exciting recipes for a crowd, and exploring the world. His favorite latest adventure was going on a road trip to visit Bar Harbor, ME with his son Alex in 2020. Tom was an exceptional storyteller, who could captivate a room with energy and laughs, and would often pair exciting tales with delicious meals.

Surviving is his loving son, Alex Nawakowski; daughter-in-law, Kelly Roehl Nawakowski; his mother, Aleksandra Nawakowski; and his dear friend, Kathy Ericson.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated to The World Wildlife Fund.
