Vera I. Jewart

Visitation for Vera I. Jewart (nee Swatsworth), 91 of Arlington Heights, will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  The Funeral Services will be Friday, 10:00am at the Funeral Home.  An Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.She was born February 25, 1923 in Philipsburg, PA to Philip and Gertrude Swatsworth.  On Saturday, May 17, 2014 Vera went home to be with the Lord.

Vera supported her husband, Donald thru graduate school.  She loved to sew and make clothing for herself and children.  In addition to sewing she enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking.

Vera is the loving Wife of the late Donald whom she married July 19, 1950 in Pennsylvania and whom died September 29, 1972.  Beloved Mother of: Gloria (Robert) Vokoun, Ronald, Brad (Becky), Craig (Marty), Scott (Scott).  Dear Grandmother of: Elizabeth (James), Corinne (Joe), Jessica, Timothy (Gabby), Breanna (Michael).  Fond Great-Grandmother of 6.  She is also preceded in death by her Sister; Arlene Spayd.
