Vera R. Forbes

The Visitation for Vera R. Forbes, 82 of North Aurora formerly of Palatine, will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 beginning at 10:30AM until the time of the Prayer Service, 11:30AM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine, proceeding to St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church, 1201 E. Anderson Drive, Palatine for the Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon.  An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Vera was born on March 8, 1933 in St. Louis, MO the daughter of the late Edward Curt and DeVona (nee Brugere) Rhomberg and passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016.

Beloved wife of the late Gerald E. Forbes; loving mother of Janice (Bill) McShea, Patrice (Terry) Sullivan, Karen (Mark) McCostlin, Teresa (Al) Ramp and Thomas (Anne) Forbes; cherished grandmother of Kathryn (Fiancé Lawrence Bushman) McShea, Teresa (Charles Sweitzer) Sullivan, Kevin (Cara Clure) Sullivan, Ryan (Elizabeth) McCostlin, Adam (Elizabeth) McCostlin, Jaclyn (Nicholas) Mancuso, Mallory and Megan Ramp, Grace, Isabel, Timothy, Amelia and Lucy Forbes; great grandmother of  William, Merideth and John McCostlin and Fiona Sweitzer; fond sister of Mable (Robert) Hudson and the late Louise (late Oliver) Overkamp; sister in law of  Patricia (Pete) Becker and Carol (Hank) Petri; also surviving are many nieces and nephews; preceded by her parents in law George and Rose Forbes.
