Veva Meyer

Veva  Meyer  (nee  Leach)  87, of Arlington Heights and Lake Zurich, died after a long illness.  A Funeral Mass will be said at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Rd., Lake Zurich on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 10:00 am.

Veva grew up in Chicago, later moving to Arlington Heights to raise her  family before retiring in Lake Zurich.  She was active for decades in the Republican party in Wheeling Township and managed several campaigns of prominent politicians.  Veva  later served the state of Illinois as an assistant real estate commissioner after a successful career as a realtor.  She was a special woman to many that knew her.

Veva is survived by five children, Paul, Pamela, Pat, David and Douglas, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, step children Bill and Jack, seven step grandchildren and fifteen step great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
