Victoria K. Marogil

Services for Victoria K. Marogil (Hurmiz), 75, of Palatine, will be private due to the Covid19 Pandemic. The Interment will take place at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum.

Vicky passed away on May 25th, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Graduate of the University of Baghdad College of Nursing class of 1966.

Vicky was the beloved wife of Emmanuel for 53 wonderful years. Loving mother of Alfred (Jana), Jeffrey (Angela), and Andrew. Cherished grandmother of Paige, Adam, Matthew, and Lauren. Dear sister of the late Angel Yonan, the late Emmanuel Hurmiz, the late Maria Hurmiz, Juliet Hurmiz, and Violet Acanfora. Fond Aunt and dear friend of many.

Born in Iraq August 26, 1944, she immigrated to the United States in 1966 on her honeymoon with Emmanuel. She dedicated her life to taking care of her family and others. She spent over 20 years as a registered nurse and her whole life caring for her children and grandchildren, whom she adored very much. Vicky loved to cook and every year she took pride in her flowers and garden. A true fighter, she survived breast cancer and multiple rounds of lymphoma. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
