Viola C. Schaefer

Visitation for Viola C. Schaefer, 95, formerly of Palatine, will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, February 28, 2020 at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. Funeral Services will be at the Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 29, 2020. An Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Viola was born on November 7, 1924 and passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.

Viola, an avid reader, also enjoyed gardening in her spare time. Among her favorite pastimes were family get togethers.

Viola was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Henry W. Schaefer, who passed away in 2001. She is survived by her children, Henry (Joyce), Ronald (Laurie), and Donald (Cha); 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; and her son-in-law, Michael Petersen.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Petersen.
