Virginia G. Stonequist

A Visitation for Virginia G. Stonequist, 94, a resident of St. Joseph Home for the Elderly of Palatine, former longtime resident of Schaumburg, will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Visitation will also be held on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 9:00AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  The Interment will follow at Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst.

Virginia was born on September 3, 1920 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Nicholas A. and Gertrude M. (nee Andersen) Schausten and passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015.

Beloved wife of the late Leonard Stonequist; loving mother of Valerie (Robert) Sobieski and Lois (late Ross) Shellenberger; cherished grandma of Julie (Christopher) Brett, Robin Mendez and Nikki (Joseph) Bonamarte; great grandma of Amanda (Bobby) DeCesare, Katelyn Roemo, Jordan Romeo, Chantelle (Keith) Tollefson, Grace, Jack and Bryan Bonamarte; great great grandma of Reese, Dominick and Olivia DeCesare and Kaia Tollefson; preceded in death by her brothers Charles and Harold Schausten.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, in memory of Virginia, would be appreciated for the charity of the donor’s choice.
