Walter A. Setlock

A Visitation for Walter A. Setlock, 95, will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass, 10:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. The Interment will be private at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Walter passed away peacefully at his residence at the Arboria of Long Grove, IL on December 3, 2018.

Walter is survived by his wife, Victoria; his children, Carol (Isaac) Barfield, Walter (Suzanne) and Bruce (Sandy) Setlock; grandchildren, Catie, Brian, Rachel, Matt and Michael; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Reagan.

Walter was preceded in death by his siblings, Stella Ball, Matt and Edward.

Wally was born on August 25, 1923 in Vulcan, MI to Stanley and Agnes Setlock. He married Victoria Ziulek on November 11, 1944. Through the years, Walter and Victoria resided in Chicago, Bartlett, Roselle and Lake Zurich.

Walter will forever be remembered as a patient and gentle man, loving of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; caring and respectful of everyone he met. He will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers of Arboria of Long Grove and Heartland Hospice for the care, dedication and compassion extended to our father over the past months. You are special.
