Walter K. Wirsing

Visitation for Walter K. Wirsing, 94, a resident of Palatine since 1948, will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, October 5, 2015 also at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Walter was born on July 28, 1921 in Chicago, IL, the son of the late Walter and Lucille (nee Parker) Wirsing and passed away at home early on Tuesday morning September 29, 2015.

Walter was the beloved husband of his first wife  the late Margaret (nee Happ) Wirsing and his second wife Pamela (nee Dyl) Wirsing; loving father of Robert K. (Katherine), Walter  A. Wirsing and Karen M. Rebmann; cherished grandfather of Kimberley and Christopher Wirsing, Ryan  (Christine), Aimee and Ian (Sami) Rebmann.

Prior to Walter retiring in 1984 he had worked for Fleming Sales Co. of Chicago as a manufacturer’s representative for twenty-six years.  Walter was also a WWII Army Veteran.

Walter being a graduate of Northwestern University in 1948 had a passion for supporting and attending Northwestern University football and basketball games. Go Cats!
