Walter W. Johnson

A gathering for friends and family for Walter W. Johnson, 78, of Palatine, will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 41 S. Rohlwing Road, Palatine, on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM. The Interment will be private.

Walter was born in Chicago on April 14, 1941 to George and Evelyn Johnson. He graduated from Carl Schurz High School in Chicago in 1959 and then pursued his life long career as an accountant. He was always an avid sports fan, loving his Chicago teams, and in his younger years coached little league baseball. He will be always remembered for his enjoyment of golf, bowling and the family go-to tax guy.

He is survived by his dear children Scott (Catherine) Johnson, Mark (Carolyn) Johnson; Loving grandfather of Theodore, Jennifer, Courtney, Thomas and Scott.

Preceded in death by his cherished wife Mary (nee Doyle) and daughter Julie Joy.
