Visitation for Willa Mae Turner (nee Allen), 88, of Palatine, formerly of New Orleans, Louisiana, will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  An Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.

Willa was born October 15, 1926 in Natchez, MS, and she passed away, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, Palatine, IL.

Willa was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.  She was an avid gardener.  When she arrived to the St. Joseph Home, she became the unofficial welcome person to new residents.

Willa was the beloved wife of the late Bunice Clark Fells and the late James Turner; loving mother of Sandra (Leon) Johnson and Bernice (Ronald) Pendelton; loving grandmother of Ronald Pendelton II, Rachael Bercey and Adrianna (Andrei) Mart; loving great-grandmother of Ronald, Matthew, Gerald, Raegan, Gabriella and Petru; dear daughter of the late George and Anna (nee Johnson) Allen; fond sister of the late Juanita Allen and Jessie Sanford; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials would be appreciated to the Little Sisters of the Poor, C/O The St. Joseph Home for the Elderly, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60067.
