William G. Monsen

Visitation for William G. Monsen, 84, of Palatine since 1973, will be held Monday, January 5, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine.  The Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church, 630 S. Quentin Road, Palatine; where he will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service.  The Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL.

William was born March 3, 1930 in Chicago, and he passed away December 31, 2014 in Schaumburg.  He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was a longtime member of All Saints Lutheran Church in Palatine.  William worked for Motorola for 39 years and was active in the SeniorNet and the Rinky Dinks of Palatine.

He was the beloved husband of Rosemary Monsen (nee Sarytchoff); loving father of Susan Monsen and Janet (Kelvin) Walker; loving grandfather of Steven William You Peng Monsen; dear son of the late Elmer and Grace (nee Sonne) Monsen; fond brother of the late Elmer S. and Robert  F. Monsen.
