William J. Finn, Jr.

A Memorial Visitation for William J. Finn, Jr., 78, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Wisconsin and Illinois, will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. The Memorial Visitation will continue Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness, IL 60067.

As was his wish; cremation rites were accorded.

William passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Venice Regional Bayfront Health. He was born Friday, February 7, 1941 to the late William and Almira Finn (nee Fitz) in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Fenwick High School with the class of 1958. He was married in Resurrection Church in Chicago on June 2, 1962 to Mary Finn (nee Sherlock).

He worked at Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL. for 37 years. He was a Purchasing Manager and represented Northrop at conferences around the U.S. as the Small Business Liaison Officer. He was active with Boy Scouts and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed boating and water sports at his home in Delavan, WI.

His family includes his wife Mary of Venice, Florida, his children William J. Finn III (Cynthia) of Bartlett, IL., his Daughter Mary Y. Hoy (nee Finn) of Hoffman Estates, IL., and his Son Fred T. Finn (April) of Barrington, IL. He has five grandchildren, Nicole Finn, William Finn IV, CJ Hoy, Kelsey Finn and Lindsey Finn. He has a brother Michael Finn of Eagle River, WI/Goodyear, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his Parent’s William J Finn and Almira Finn (nee Fitz), brother Fred Finn and sister Katherine Duffy (nee Finn).
