He is the loving husband of 60 years to Eleanor Elliott (nee Corso) and passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 18, 2022.
Bill was the beloved father of Lynn (John) Albright, Kristine Elliott and the late William Brian Elliott; grandfather of Matthew (Lisa) Albright, Michael Albright, William Wellwerts and Nicole Albright; great-grandfather of Zachary and Alexa Albright; brother-in-law of Concetta (the late Charles) LeBrun and Annette (the late Charles) Schwander; uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Emily Elliott, and brother Dean Elliott.
Bill loved to travel having visited 48 of the 50 states, a highlight being an Alaskan Cruise with his family for his and Eleanor’s 50th wedding anniversary. He was an avid bowler and loved spending time with his family. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was very honored when he was selected to be on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. that carried a plane load of WWII and Korean War vets. He loved trains and going to dance competitions to watch his grand-daughter Nicole perform. He was lucky enough to take a cross country train trip to California to watch her compete. Bill loved Chicago sports and was able to see his beloved Cubs win it all in 2016.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s name would be appreciated to the National Kidney Foundation, or to Honor Flight Chicago
