William S. Shoshoo

A Graveside Service for William Samuel Shoshoo, 85, of Palatine since 1971, formerly of Griffith IN, will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 10:00am at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, 1185 Algonquin Road, Palatine.

William was born August 15, 1937 in Mosul, Iraq, and passed away December 7, 2022 in Palatine Illinois.

William was the beloved husband of the late R. Marianne Osterlin Shoshoo; loving father of Lilly Luca, Nicholas Shoshoo, Alexander Shoshoo, and Anna Shoshoo (Danny Beltran); loving grandfather of Isabella Luca, Maria Luca, Skylar Shoshoo Marianna Beltran, Nicholas Beltran and Victoria Beltran; dear son of the late Samuel and Maria (Benyamin) Shoshoo; fond brother of Sabah (late Joseph) Selman, Emmanuel (late Chris) Shoshoo, Mary Shoshoo, Nina (Thomas) Barbour and Joseph (Barbara) Shoshoo.

William was a devoted family man. He was a mischievous child who was always pranking his friends and peers. He graduated from Notre Dame with a Master’s in Economics. Wise in nature, he loved telling his children and grandchildren about his travels and experiences. In addition to his family, William loved being outside, riding his bike, and going for walks in the neighborhood. He lived his life with no regrets.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
