Visitation and Funeral Services for William Don Zima, 89, will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 N. Plum Grove Rd., Palatine on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m.at Windridge Cemetery, Cary, IL.
Bill was born in Chicago, IL on August 21, 1934, to Frank and Theresa (Althier) Zima. He was baptized and confirmed at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Melrose Park, IL. Bill received his crown of glory on March 8. 2024.
Bill was an avid bowler, loved motorcycles and being a part of the Des Plaines Valley Gem and Mineral Society, creating beautiful jewelry and taking raw gems and turning them into exquisite pieces.
He is survived by nieces, Joan Zima and Susan Edwards; and nephews, John (Tina) Zima and Michael Edwards.
He was predeceased by the love of his life, Lois, and nephew, David Edwards.
