Visitation for Richard “Dick” Joseph Goss, 77, of Lake Zurich, will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 415 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. Visitation will continue Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. An Inurnment Service, with military honors, will be held at a later date at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin.
Richard was born February 3, 1945 in Door County, Wisconsin, and passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at home, Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
Richard was the beloved husband of Carol (nee Gauger) Goss; loving father of Monte (Gita), Michelle, Edward (Jodi) and Shane (Kathy); cherished grandfather of Shannon, Madelyn, Kathryn, Grant, Ryan, Ellison, Mason, Rowan, Camryn and Ian; dear son of the late Edward and Alice (nee Finely) Goss; fond brother of Charles (Ann), Tom, Jill (late Edward Doyle), Mary Alice (Fred De Maio), Michael (late Pamela) and Tim (Jan); and also surviving, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dick graduated from Gilbraltar High School in 1963 and served in the Navy. He married Carol Gauger on September 30, 1967. He owned and operated along with his 3 brothers, Goss Plumbing in Illinois for over 30 years. He was a member of Plumbers Local 93-130.
Dick had a passion for hunting, fishing, farming, wood working and lakeside living. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. His deep Catholic faith was his guiding light.

So sorry for your loss of Dick. He was such a good man. Smiley and friendly to all. I remember him doing woodworking with Taylor. She was so proud of her cutouts that her “Uncle Dick” helped her make. So many good memories that he helped make.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
