Visitation for Ryszard “Richard” Stanislaw Mocydlarz, 75, of Palatine, formerly of Chicago, will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 12 Noon on Friday, September 22, 2023, at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Hwy., Palatine. The Interment will be private.

Ryszard was born on June 25, 1948, in Tuchola, Poland and passed away at home on September 18, 2023.

Richard was a handyman who loved his work and meeting new people.  He was a jokester and always up for a day with family or friends.  He loved the outdoors and laying in the sun with a coffee cup in hand.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and making them laugh.

Ryszard was the loving husband of Barbara Malgorzata (nee Golunska), they were married on December 9, 1977 in Poland and immigrated to the US in 1982; loving father of Anna (Bill) Grossmann, Tomasz (Halina), Maciej, Peter, Michael (Korrie); dear grandfather of Billy (A.J.), Madelyn (Tanner), Matthew, Aurelia, Bianka, Autumn, and Mikey; great grandfather of Elliot; son of the late Tadeusz and Helena Mocydlarz; brother to Renata (Jerzy) Henryk, Lidia; brother-in-law to Sewerya Golunska (Marek Nawakowski), Anna Tarajkowska; loving uncle to Malgorzata, Kasia, Anna, Kathy, Johanna; and cousin to Maryla Falkowska.  He was dog dad to Lady and friend to many.

He will be missed.
