A Funeral Mass for Thomas Robert Jacobs, 73, will be said on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  The Interment will immediately follow at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hawthorn Woods.

Tom was the loving husband of Kathleen (nee Strey) for 50 years and together they raised two children; Christie (Matt) and Bob.  Tom was also a dear Papa to Meghan and Colin.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Tom worked as a union electrician with IBEW Local 134 for 40 years.  He was an Army veteran in the Vietnam War, serving in Korea.  He and Kathie were long-time residents of Lake Zurich.

Tom was loved by his family, friends and neighbors.  He loved going out for breakfast with his close friends.  As far as hobbies, Tom particularly enjoyed target shooting and socializing at the Conservation Club of Kenosha County.  He was a hunter for much of his life, traveling as far as Wyoming and Africa in pursuit of wild game.  Tom was also an avid history buff; his favorite subject was World War II.
