A Memorial Visitation for William S. Pedersen, 59, of Palatine, will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, from 9:00am until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00am at the Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine. An Inurnment will be held privately at a later date.
Affectionately referred to as Uncle Bill, UB, Bill, or Billy by countless friends and family, William was a life-long resident of Palatine graduating from Palatine High School in 1981. As an independent general contractor and skilled carpenter for over 40 years, William spent countless years working side by side with his mother Marilyn Pedersen and countless others to restore the George Clayson House Museum, home of the Palatine Historical Society. William is well known for his happy disposition, lust for life, and for his constant laughter and warm charm. William was the life of every party and long-time fan of the Grateful Dead, Yes, Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Chicago Blackhawks.
William is survived by siblings, Stephen (Brenda) Pedersen, David (Noreen) Pedersen and Christine Ocheltree; his nephews and nieces, Brian Pedersen, Jessica Pedersen, Justin Pedersen, Cassandra Pedersen, Joshua Bornholt, Dane Bornholt, Kersten Bornholt, Christopher Pedersen, Zachary Pedersen, MacKelvie Ocheltree, Hunter Ocheltree, Reiver Ocheltree; and grand-nephew, Stephen Bornholt.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Marilyn Pedersen (nee Mooney) and siblings, Karen (Stephen) Bornholt and Robert (Josefina) Pedersen.
